Thomas Edison once said: “If we did the things that we are really capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.”
Well then, how about healing? Healing ourselves, or freeing ourselves from what ails us, appears to be a constant challenge.
Even when we do seem to ‘get healed’ we often find it is only temporary. Like weeds, our challenges keep on coming back.
Could it be that we are trying to heal the wrong things? Bug spray after all, will not heal systemic root problems.
Theodore Roosevelt , succinct as ever, was probably correct when he said ” If you could give a kick in the pants to the person
responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn’t be able to sit down for a week.” Dr. Marcia Pearce agrees, but says that she
has already done quite enough of that!
Instead she recommends that we use a different perspective and learn how to heal the right thing. “After all” she concludes,
“we are ALL well worth our own healing”.
